“Like many practitioners I am frustrated with the limited protocols and unrealistic nature of many acupuncture trials.

I want to know how much better patients get when they receive treatments in real-world clinical settings.”

Nick holds an MSc in Acupuncture Research and is working towards completing his PhD. He is also an experienced acupuncture and tuina practitioner running clinics in Devon, England. Nick has been awarded a Junior Research Scholarship from the Society for Acupuncture Research (SAR). He is a member of both the Research Council for Complementary Medicine (RCCM) and the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).

“The ACU-Track Registry has been born out of the enormous potential and great need to develop a large-scale clinical data collection system for the acupuncture and TCM profession.”

After spending nearly 30 years working with data and web applications in the marketing industry, Spod had a change of landscape and trained in acupuncture.  He trained at The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa where he qualified with a first-class honours degree equivalent.  Since then, Spod has continued his interest in working with data and applications as one of the founding directors of ACU-Track.
